In April, we completed a large PV installation at Grosvenor House Care Home near Gainsborough in Lincolnshire, installing 178 solar PV panels over 18 arrays.

We were asked to help them reduce their carbon footprint and their electricity bill, which was around £100,000 per year.
Because of the roof complexity, the arrays are of various different sizes and orientations. To make sure we maximised the generation, arrays were connected where they faced the same direction. This extends the generation period with a lower peak power, resulting in a greater proportion of the generated electricity being used during the day when it's needed most.

In its first 18 days, the PV system generated 4.216MW of electricity, of which the care home used 3.49MW (83%). The setup we've designed should reduce Grosvenor House's electricity bill by 25%. You can read more about their commitment to sustainability on their website.
