Is air con the right solution for my home or business premises?
The performance of the air conditioning unit is provided by the "Coefficient of Performance" (CoP) and "Seasonal Coefficient of Performance" (SCoP). The CoP is the instantaneous efficiency and the SCoP is the CoP averaged out over the year. The SCoP is the most relevant to determining how a system will perform. Most domestic AC units have a SCoP in excess of 4, which means that, on average, for every kW of electricity used, the unit will produce more than 4 kWhs of heat. This is therefore the ideal solution for an office, bedroom, static caravan or several rooms.
What are the options for internal air conditioning units?
For domestic indoor units, you can choose from wall mounted, ceiling mounted and floor mounted. With the capability to run 1-6 indoor units from a single outdoor unit, this is a great solution to cool and heat your home.
For commercial AC, the range of indoor units is increased to include under ceiling, jet air stream and ducted. With the capability to run 1-4 indoor units, and a maximum heating and cooling capacity of 24kW, this is the ideal solution to replace oil or gas heating in large rooms and workshops.
Does air conditioning work well in static caravans / park homes?
Air conditioning is a great solution for static caravans and park homes. We've installed it in several park homes in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire recently. They can get very warm in the summer and can be expensive to heat in the winter.
