Electric vehicle chargers Lincoln

To help meet its climate target, the UK government has announced that it will prohibit the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030. Electric vehicles now account for about a fifth of new car sales in the UK.

Some of the benefits of installing an electric vehicle (EV) charging point:

  • Having an EV charging point at home or at work enables you to charge your vehicle while it's not being used.

  • If you have reduced-cost electricity, such as Economy 7, or dynamic pricing, the cost of charging the vehicle can be reduced.

  • If the property has solar PV panels or a PV/battery system, the vehicle can be charged with energy from the PV array.

  • The EV chargepoint grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at some domestic properties across the UK depending on certain criteria.

  • The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints.
